A Comparative Study on Monotheist Worship in Christianity and Polytheistic Worship in Chinese Populace at Large

  • Worshiping gods and ghosts are universal phenomena which can be found in religious activities all over the world.This paper mainly compares two kinds of them:Western Christianity and Chinese fork religions.By comparing their ideas of God/gods,intentions and purposes in worshiping,it shows the differences between Christian faith and its worshiping,and Chinese forklore religious forms.Such differences may showthe strangeness between two cultures,and then bring great obstacles to the exchange and dialogue between the two.
