The Construction of “Leisurely-enjoying” Artistic Conception in the Late Ming Dynasty

  • In the late Ming dynasty, when "leisurely-enjoying" culture developed highly, literati paid more attention to the establishment of its aesthetic artistic conception, which was mainly manifested in creating a state of aesthetic life through the existence of all external things, the interaction between object and human, and the suitability of objects. What the literati wanted to express was literati's living mode that made them resist and alienate from the earthly world,as a life stronghold to avoid the disaster, cultivate the moral character and nourish the nature. However, when pursuing unearthly mind, the literati couldn't free themselves out of all earthly pleasures.Establishing new and graceful, tall and spacious situation was literati's ideal in the late Ming dynasty and can be regarded as their own spirit stipulations.
