Constructing the New Value System Suitable for the Socialist Market Economy

Since the initiation of the reform of the socialist market economy system in our country, people's values have had the great changes. At the present stage,the value system is characterized by unnormalness,unmatureness and unstableness. In order to construct the new value system suitable for the socialist market economy,we must set up the world outlook of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, correctly treat the traditional value thought and the modern value thought,persist in the correct guidance and take the construction of socialism with the Chinese characteristics as the value goal, the realization of the majority of people's basic interest as the value evaluation criteria, the socialist outlook for honor and dishonor as the basic requirement for constructing the socialist new value system.
