Review on the Research of the Contracts in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Zhejiang and Explore on the Research Ideas of the Contracts

Since the 80s of last century,more and more scholars have been paying attention to the contracts in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Amongst those scholars,Fu Yiling and Yang Guozhen are the most famous ones.In the 1980s,those scholars mainly focused on the contracts found in Huizhou,Fujian and other places.Seldom contracts found in Zhejiang were mentioned in their research.However,with the deepening of their research,they gradually released some collections,catalogs and dissertations of land contracts found in Zhejiang.Zhejiang Provincial Museum has a collection of lots of contracts of ancient times and their staffs are currently busy with sorting them.Considering this situation,it is necessary for us to look back the history of collecting,sorting the contracts of Ming and Qing Dynasties which will be helpful for further research and references.Intrepretation of the form and content,integration of cases with the overall and integration of comparison with the diverse are effective methods to study the contact documents.
