A Comparison of Fumimaro Konoe’s and Kita Ikki’s Fascist Ideology

  • Fumimaro Konoe was born into a highly prestigious Japanese family, and served the Japanese government for three times as prime minister of Japan. He was a fascist from the upper social strata of Japanese society. Kita Ikki was born into a small merchant family. He was the originator of the Japanese civilian fascist movement. Fumimaro Konoe and Kita Ikki played a very important role in the fascist movement and had a great influence in Japan, and represented the interests of the different classes and strata of Japanese society. A comparative analysis of the career and ideas of the two definitely helps us understand Japanese fascism more deeply and comprehensively.
