Review on Studies of Yi in the Ming Dynasty during the Past one Hundred Years

From the early 20th century to the 1940's,the academic circles paid little attention to Yi in the Ming Dynasty.Yi in the Ming Dynasty has been studied since the 1950's,especially since the 1980's.The past researches were confined to the studies of the traditional image-number and principle because of internal cause about development of Yi and exterior bias.From now on we must broaden the academic vision,closely associate Yi in the Ming Dynasty with the social ideological trend and academic cultural atmosphere and study it from many perspectives.Only in this way,can we understand the rule and main spirit of Yi in the Ming Dynasty.
