Idealism in American Foreign Policy and Its Ideological Origins

Idealism in American diplomacy clearly reflects the values,mission view and interest demands of America.The ideological origins of American idealism were exceptionalism and the tradition of liberalism,as the symbol and characterization of American interests, idealism has been appreciated by American foreign policy makers and presidents.Although American diplomacy wears a moral idealism coat,it can't cover its selfish nature of pursuing the real national interests.
