On the Advantages of the Jury Trial System——A Perspective of Comparing with the Professional Judge Trial

As is known,the jury trial system has its disadvantages,but compared with the professional judge trial,its so-called disadvantages are its advantages:the public credibility of the jury system makes the rate of appeal low,thus it excellently avoids all aspects of wasting resources; jury's public experience and collective deliberation can resist judges' bias from their profession and professional benefits; the social values brought in the jury trial can prevail over the lack of social experience,the chronic thinking and the difference of wits of the professional judges; the jury trial can remedy the defects of the professional judges' bureaucracy,rigidity and estrangement from the public. On the whole,the jury trial is still the effective way of people's participating in the judiciary.
