Creating Their Third Space——Post-Colonial Theory perspective on analysis of figures in Crossings

  • This study applies Homi Bhabha's theory of "the third space" in the novel, arguing that the protagonists of the novel cross the cultural and ethnic barriers and thus create their third space by negotiating the conflicts, which is also a process of cultural negotiation. They avoid the binary of Western and Eastern cultures and destroy cultural hegemony. So this study aims to rediscover the value of the book and appeal to more critics to this book.
