Context and Language Deviation

Studies on deviation has been concentrating on the features of the surface of the text without providing further explanation to its formation.This paper argues that it is to foreground some communicative function that communicators choose temporary and intentional deviated language forms according to the typical features of the corresponding registers.Deviation occurs in a specific context,in which deviated language forms become meaningful.
