Reform and Development——Comment on Yuan Shikai and Modernization of Zhili Education

In the late Qing Dynasty,Yuan Shikai's educational thoughts and practice had a significant and far-reaching influence on the modernization of Zhili education. First of all,he advocated the abolition of imperial examination system,which swept the biggest obstacle of the Zhili education modernization; Secondly,the creation of new educational administration management system provided system safeguard for the modernization of Zhili education; Thirdly,he setting up various kinds of schools at all levels,forming a complete Zhili modern educational system.
