Linguistic Features & Translating Principles of Business English E-mails

    Abstract
  • Through the analysis of more than 70 business English E-mails from over 20 countries,it is discovered that business English E-Mail has the linguistic feature of duality-formality in content and informality in form. Based on this concept,the author of this article draws the conclusion that in translating business English E-mails three principles must be observed-accuracy,politeness and brevity.
