Abstract

American developing history is a history of domestic and foreign expansion. "Sense of Mission" and "Manifest Destiny", deriving from Christianity belief and American democracy and equality consciousness, are the cultural origin and basis of consensus of opinion. In this essay, the writers are to analyze and explore how the "Manifest Destiny" influences American expansion policy.
