Horizon fusion and nature of literary translation

  • Translation,both literary and nonliterary,places great reliance upon the understanding and elaboration of the original works,which,in turn,are historically based.In the process of understanding,the two horizons of understanding and chronicle should be merged.From the philosophical viewpoint of "horizon fusion" of German philosopher Gadamer,this article discusses the nature of literary translation.
