Conceptions of National Image from International Relations

National Image is a comprehensive conception. Communication Theory, Historial Science of Culture and Politics have specific description and conception of it, but they only pay attention to the emphasis and features in their field. International Relations theories try to cover the main points of above three disciplines and redefine the conception of National Image with Constructivism based on the understanding of "prestige". Redefinition of the conception of National Image helps to get a clear understanding of National Image which is important to national political decision-making and it has great potential significance in the International Relations theories. Thus it can influence national political decision-making, create an ideal international environment, promote China's international standing and influence and maximize the national interests.
