Characteristics and Implications of Modern Japanese Pre-school Education

  • Japan is one of the countries in the world which lays emphasis on the pre-school education and puts the pre-school education into the national strategy. Characteristics of the pre-school education are mainly manifested in the pre-school legislation,pre-school institutions,pre-school funding,pre-school goals and curriculum,early childhood teacher quality and teacher-child ratio. Learning from Japan's pre-school development experience in China is helpful to developing pre-school education and promoting the cause of China's pre-school healthy and sustainable development.
