Value, Status and Path of Integrating New-era Achievements in National Defense and Military Development Into the Teaching of Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities

The achievements in national defense and military development in the new era, as an important component of the great achievements of socialism with Chinese characteristics, contain rich resources for ideological and political education. Systematically integrating them into the teaching of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities is a strategic necessity for safeguarding national security, solid support for cultivating new generations of the era, and an inevitable requirement for enhancing the teaching quality of such courses. The current state of integration faces difficulties such as superficial content integration, isolated resource development, a lack of discourse conversion, insufficient cross-disciplinary competence among teachers, and a disconnect between value linkage and reality. To promote effective integration, concerted efforts should be made in the three dimensions of content, strategy, and support. Specifically, we need to build a precise supply system tailored to different courses, innovate teaching methods and strategies, and improve support mechanisms. Ultimately, this will form an all-round, multi-dimensional, and long-term educational pattern.
