Development of the Popularization of Revolutionary Literature and Art Before and After Speech at the Yan’an Forum on Literature and Art

  • Literature and art during the revolutionary period was not only combined with the specific tasks of the Anti-Japanese War, but also played a role in political propaganda. Its popular style provided a practical field for the generation of Speech at the Yan’an Forum on Literature and Art. There is a rich interactive relationship between the popularization of revolutionary literature and art and the emergence of Speech at the Yan’an Forum on Literature and Art. The prerequisite for the interweaving of the two lies in the guidance of the proposition of the sinification of Marxism. Depend on it, the publication of Speech at the Yan’an Forum on Literature and Art ideologically purified the literary and artistic ecology, promoted the integration of revolutionary literature and art with the masses of workers, peasants and soldiers, and turned to serving workers, peasants and soldiers. Furthermore, the popularization of revolutionary literature and art also tended to obey the reality of emphasizing both political and social benefits. It not only demonstrates the arduous exploration of the Communist Party of China’s thought of “people’s literature and art”, but also presents the new China style of Marxist literary and artistic theory during the revolutionary period.
