-
Abstract
Since 1924, “cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party” has gone through a century-long journey. From the perspective of holistic historical research, there have been two peaks of social attention regarding “cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party”. The first was around 1938—1939, which was related to the severe situation of saving the nation during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The second appeared in the 1980s. This can be discerned from the relevant reports in The People’s Daily. The reason is related to the need for “cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party” for national reunification at that time. In today’s complex and volatile international situation, all Chinese people should draw on the historical experience of the two “cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party” and contribute to completing the great cause of national reunification and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
