-
Abstract
The important measures to strengthen the political work of the CPC during the period of the new-democratic revolution include: addressing the essential issue of “what flag to raise” in strengthening political beliefs, resolving the basic issue of “which path to take” in the choice of political road, solving the substantive issue of “who will lead the revolution” in maintaining the political leadership of the CPC, and dealing with the fundamental issue of “how to concentrate and unify leadership” in the formation of the core leadership of the whole party. The achievements on political work of the CPC during this period mainly include: establishing Mao Zedong’s leadership position in the whole party and making Mao Zedong thought the guiding ideology of the CPC; achieving the all-time unity and cohesion of the CPC in politics, ideology, and organization; becoming a firmer belief in Marxism within the Party; and presenting an unprecedentedly good intraparty political ecosystem. The insights from the Party’s efforts to strengthen political construction during the New Democratic Revolution period mainly include three aspects. First, it is essential to resolutely uphold the “two establishments” and regard them as the primary task of the Party’s political construction. Second, it is necessary to fully leverage the leading role of the party’s political construction in all aspects of the party’s development. Third, it is imperative to consolidate a clean and righteous intra-Party political ecosystem with a spirit of thorough self-revolution.
