Especially since the opening of the Grand Canal in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the canal-Poyang Lake-Ganjiang channel has become a major traffic artery connecting the cultural exchanges and economic and trade exchanges between the north and the south. Tengwang Pavilion is located on the bank of Ganjiang River, with superior waterway environment. After the Tang Dynasty, it gradually became the best banquet venue for literati. With favorable traffic conditions and the spread of The Preface of Teng Wang Pavilion, as well as the chant of literati and description of the popular novels, especially by the transmission of folk stories, the Tengwang Pavilion expanded its social influence, thus becoming a famous building.
