A Study on Construction of the Course German for Science and Technology in Universities of Science and Engineering From the Perspective of New Liberal Arts

  • In the context of the construction of new liberal arts, the course German for science and technology is facing the challenge of reform in universities of science and engineering. However, it also has advantages of interdisciplinary integration. The course German for science and technology should find its own position, adapt to the requirements of construction of the new liberal arts in the new era, change the traditional orientation towards language and knowledge, and reform in the direction of language service and interdisciplinary integration. The advantages and characteristics of the universities where the course is provided should be taken in consideration as well. The construction of the course German for science and technology must pay attention to the frontier trends of science and technology and the development of industrial civilization, actively promote the interdisciplinary integration, and highlight its “science and technology” elements and “humanities” connotations.
