Correlation Effects of Smart Industries in the Context of Smart CitiesTaking Sichuan Province as an Example

Under the influence of new urbanization, in order to cope with the economic, employment, urban governance and other pressures brought by urban population, smart city construction has become the main direction of urban renewal, which promotes the development of China’s smart industry. As an emerging industry, the correlation effect between smart industry and other industries is not yet clear. By defining the basic composition of the smart industry and taking the 2017 Sichuan input-output table as the research basis, this paper calculates its direct consumption coefficient, direct partition coefficient, influence coefficient and other indicators to study the relevance of the smart industry. The results indicate that the smart industry plays a dominant role in the construction of smart cities, which shows significant correlation effects with other industries. Furthermore, the smart industry also plays an important role in promoting the economic development of Sichuan province.
