Abstract
From the perspective of curriculum based ideological and political education, the research and practice on the reform of the teaching mode of “Fundamentals of Piano Performance” should focus on the top-level design of the curriculum, which requires reestablishment of curriculum objectives, reframing the teaching contents, innovating teaching methods and reforming the curriculum assessment and evaluation system. The optimization of teaching contents and the effective integration of explicit and recessive education are prerequisites for achieving positive results from ideological and political education in specialized fundamental courses.
