Functions, Predicaments and Optimization Strategies of “Chinese Cultural Journey”

“Chinese Culture Journey” is a comprehensive educational practice activity with tourism as the carrier. It is an effective way to educate young people in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan about national conditions and the Four Histories, as well as to enhance their understanding of Chinese culture and their identification with Chinese culture. Using the method of literature research and questionnaire survey, this study takes Huaqiao University and Jinan University as examples to reveal the problems of “Chinese Cultural Journey” in enhancing the Chinese cultural identity of Hong Kong and Macao students, and analyzes its influencing factors. This paper proposes an optimization strategy for “Chinese Cultural Journey” that enhances the Chinese cultural identity of Hong Kong and Macao students in mainland colleges and universities, which better enhances the Chinese cultural identity of Hong Kong and Macao students and gives full play to the educational value of “Chinese Cultural Journey”.
