Abstract
The judicial characteristics of university as a legal entity, must be embodied properly by its statute. As concerned as judicial personnel, university statutes of England stipulated its undertaker to have highly professional characterisitic. As concerned as judicial supervision, they bestowed on the supervisory power of university teachers and students as well as social members. As concerned as judicial punishment, they ordained some reliefs for teachers and students under severe measures. As concerned as judicial operation, they regulated strict procedures. The four characteristics of judicial regulation of university statutes of England have many enlightenments and reference significances for the construction of university statutes of China.
