Abstract
The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that “we must resolutely punish the‘Fly Greed’around the masses”, and aimed directly at the devouring of the sense of access to the masses by grassroots corruption. Based on CGSS 2015 data, this research established a structural equation model to study the impact of corruption perception on peasants’ sense of acquisition. It was found that corruption perception had an inhibitory effect on peasants’ sense of acquisition, with an influence coefficient of −0.18. Specifically, corruption perception had an inhibitory effect on government trust, with an influence coefficient of −0.35. The government trust had a positive effect on peasants’ sense of acquisition, and the influence coefficient was 0.54. In the influence path of corruption perception-government trust-peasants’ sense of acquisition, government trust had partial mediating effect, and the mediating effect was −0.19. The research showed that the cleaner the peasants’ evaluation of the corruption status of government workers, the higher peasants’ trust in government, and the stronger peasant’s sense of economic access, political access and livelihood access. This conclusion means that the government should promote the peasants’ sense of access in three aspects. First, it should promote the comprehensive efforts of “not daring to corrupt, not being able to corrupt, and not wanting to corrupt”, to eradicate the soil and conditions of corruption. The second is to scientifically interpret the effectiveness of anti-corruption in our country through historical and international comparison to reduce peasants’ perception of corruption. The third is to improve the government’s transparency and service quality, and enhance peasants’ trust in the government.
