Abstract
The Singing Theory is the earliest monograph that systematically discusses the study of sound. Its discussion and exploration of sound has a far-reaching impact and inspires future generations. Based on The Singing Theory, scholars in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties built a Chinese vocal music research system with opera patterns and theory as the main body and created the brilliance of opera research. They continued their research specifically on sound in The Singing Theory and have left a rich heritage of opera studies.
