Linchuan Wuhang’s Thoughts of Yi-ology

  • Wu Hang of Linchuan in the Song dynasty wrote three volumes of Yi Xuanji, which presented rich ideas and values of Yi-ology. The research on the text nature and style of Zhou Yi mainly shows in four aspects: first, the establishment and change of the image number model of the hexagrams and lines; second, the image and meaning of the hexagrams; thirdly, the positions of the lines and the style of the remarks; fourthly, the remaining problems of the text of Zhou Yi, including the rehexagrams and the authors of the remarks on the hexagrams and lines. Wu’s thoughts of Yi-ology not only follows the core requirements of the school of the connotation and aims at serving human resources, but also absorbs the important ideas of the school of image-mathematics and emphasizes the basis of image-number, which embodies the color of integrating various schools.
