Application of Hot Events Teaching Mode in the Course of Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Basis

Abstract
The effectiveness of the teaching methods in Ideological and political courses has always been concerned by many teachers and scholars. The teaching mode of hot events co-construction by teachers and students allows students to participate in the whole teaching process through hot events’ collecting, analyzing, and summarizing. Through the case study and practices, it was found the teaching mode would not only improve students’ interest, but also inspire students’ deep thinking. This teaching mode can improve the students’ ability to analyze and solve problems, internalize the knowledge in the mind and manifest in the practice, and at the same time enhance the effectiveness of the ideological and political education courses.
