On the Structure of Private Higher Education Institution Students’ Learning Initiative

  • The dimension structure of learning initiative is an important part of learning initiative theory. There are few studies on the dimension structure of learning initiative in private higher education institutions at present. A survey based on 887 College students from three private colleges of Jiangxi province with self-made questionnaire Private college students’ learning initiative questionnaire was conducted in the research. The result by factor analysis indicates that the initiative in learning is made up of four respective aspects which are emotionality, self-control, interaction and consciousness. The dimensional structure of learning initiative of students in private colleges is supported by confirmatory factor analysis, with good reliability and validity.
