Protection of Consumers’ Rights and Interests in the Internet Economy by the Competition Law

  • Internet economy is the economy of consumer sovereignty. In order to compete for consumer’s attention resources, operators in the Internet field often trigger new Internet unfair competition behaviors, which makes Internet consumers have the particularity different from traditional consumers and deepens their victim attributes. This time, the new revised Anti-unfair Competition Law confirmed that the consumer rights and interests to judge the role of the ACTS of unfair competition, but the objective terms and general terms and conditions of the declaration is greater than the actual meaning and legal perspective of " center” operator and consumer rights and interests of the legal relief system is insufficient, make delivery competition level of protection for the network customers become extremely difficult. Perfect Anti-unfair Competition Law, therefore, the protection of consumer rights and interests mechanism, the concrete should be directly to the status of legal interest of consumers’ rights and interests, to give the Internet consumers groups of litigation, increase the consumer factors typed provisions, strictly related legal responsibility of the operator, so as to better safeguard the Internet in the field of competition order, change the weak position of consumers in the Internet of unfair competition.
