Course Development of School-based College English for the Purpose of Serving Local Culture Dissemination

According to the latest Guidelines on College English Teaching, the college English curriculum can not be set up in the same key and should be diversified. From the school-based perspective, this paper summarizes the present situation of the current college English curriculum and points out the constructing of the college English school-based curriculum is still at the initial stage. Based on the practice of the development of "Lingnan Culture English Course", this paper explains the values, objectives, nature, contents and evaluation means of the course, aiming to provide useful reference for the similar research and practice of developing college English school-based course to serve local culture dissemination.
