-
Abstract
Mainland China is currently advancing a new round of reforms in the national college entrance examination. After the completion in the first new college entrance examination in Shanghai and Zhejiang province, this new system has showed the improvement not only in paying more attention to students' own decisions, but also in enhancing flexibility, which has gained certain social recognition. However, there are also some shortcomings of the scoring method, for example, it may lead to students' learning bias, and utilitarian orientation may become more popular; moreover, it may have a negative effect on highlighting the fairness of the college entrance examination system, and the scoring method of selective subjects is more likely to induce candidates to avoid the difficult and choose the easy; what's more, the overall quality evaluation results did not play a substantial role in the new college entrance examination model. This study draws lessons from the scoring method of HKDSE, and provides some optimization suggestions for the existing problems in the new college entrance examination scoring method, and may also provide some policy ideas for the reform and development of the college entrance examination system.
