On Internationalized Talent Cultivation of Local Engineering Colleges and Universities Against the Background of the Belt and Road's Initiative

  • Today, with the rapid development of economy and science and technology, our country has developed into a major industrialized country. Engineering education is becoming increasingly mature, and the training scale of engineering talents is expanding accordingly. Against the background of the Belt and Road's initiative, the wave of internationalization of higher education is rolling in. Internationalized talent cultivation has been becoming one of the important tasks for local engineering colleges and universities, the cradle of innovative talents. It is also an inevitable choice for local engineering colleges and universities to adapt to global economic integration and rapid development of national higher educations. Based on features and connotations of internationalized talent cultivation against the background of the Belt and Road's initiative, this article elaborates the demands of internationalized talent cultivation for our country's industrial development against background of the Belt and Road's initiative, analyses the existing problems faced by local engineering colleges and universities in internationalized talent cultivation, and finally explores the feasible pathways for training international talents and expanding the international vision of undergraduate students for local engineering colleges and universities against the background of the Belt and Road's initiative.
