The Creation and Aesthetic Thinking of Jiangxi Opera Four Dreams of Linchuan

  • Four Dreams of Linchuan is one of the classical opera written by Tang Xianzu in the Wanli era of the Ming dynasty, which is more than 450 years ago, and it becomes popular in nowadays with lots of adaptions. The Four Dreams of Linchuan revised in Jiangxi opera style vitalizes this opera by refreshing and excavating the original version. Not only that, this Jiangxi opera style version becomes more popular and significant by exploring the Yiyang tune elements, integrating the Jiangxi traditional cultures and making innovations in this work. This adaption is not only a better expression of the opera spirit of Tang Xianzu but also plays a very important role in the inheritance and the development of this opera.
