Translation as a Metaphor of Writing——With a Case of the Works of Marcel Proust, Claude Simon and Ge Fei

  • The distinction between translation and writing disappears within the works of Marcel Proust(1871-1922), Claude Simon(1913-2005) and Ge Fei(1964-), who regard translation as a metaphor of writing. This paper focuses on both convergence and divergence of their perspectives of writing as translation by reviewing their similarities and disparities of such views as well as the development routes of such views, thereby revealing the underlying reasons for the homogeneity in their works.
