An Empirical Analysis on the Relationship Between Science & Technology Input and Regional Eco-efficiency——Comparative Analysis Based on Four Regional Panel Data
-
Abstract
Regional eco-efficiency is an important means to effectively measure sustainable development of the regional economy and resource-environment, and there is a close relationship between science and technology investment and regional eco-efficiency. Firstly, the dissertation has evaluated the level of eco-efficiency of the four regions in China from 2009 to 2014 by use of entropy weighting method and fuzzy subjection function method. Then, the four regional eco-efficiency level and technology investment situation were compared. Finally, established a panel data econometric model, four regions of influencing factors of science and technology investment on the level of regional eco-efficiency the strength and significance were comparative analyzed. The results show that the four major regions in China, eastern areas are in a leading position in the various indexes while the various index of western regions are in the lowest level; science and technology investment on eco-efficiency in eastern and northeastern region has a significant positive effect, no obvious effect on the central and western regions.
