Study on Wang Wenyan Prison at the End of the Ming Dynasty

  • Wang Wenyan prison was a grievance of Eunuch Party persecuting Donglin Party at the end of the Ming Dynasty. Wang Wenyan was framed and imprisoned twice because of taking refuge in Donglin party and befriending with Wang An,after repeated exercise, eventually died in prison. Eunuch Party used Wang Wenyan case cooking up charges,implicating Donglin Party, and Donglin Party was all off. By analyzing Wang Wenyan case, Donglin Party factions, weakened the power of their own; Over against dissidents, forcing some bureaucratic backward Wei Zhongxian; The "inverted Wei" struggle, neither to obtain the response to the power of Wei Zhongxian, nor the emperor's support, Lead to inevitable failure of destiny.
