A Study on Time Characteristics of In Search of Lost Time

    Abstract
  • Marcel Proust expresses the significance of time in his novel In Search of Lost Time，but the expression of time shows vagueness. Focusing on the involuntary memory and strength of art through the comparison between the "lost time" and "time regained", Proust shows the characteristics of time in four aspects of the psychology, the discontinuity of time, artistic quality of time and formality of time.
