Study on Cao Yu's Selected Adoption About Dramas of Ibsen

Abstract
Ibsen is known not only for the "father of modern drama" which lived in Norway of the late nineteenth century as a playwright and poet, but also for the key figure in the process of Chinese modern drama's reaching maturity. Cao Yu's dramas creation is early contacted and deeply affected by the foreign playwright Ibsen, whose plays is multifaceted influenced by Ibsen's, and his excellent level of dramatic art, is also formed after both choosing and adopting based on Ibsen's dramas theories. And in this process of selection and acceptance, Cao Yu actually runs through with his own thinking and deep understanding of the unique features for the era.
