On Women's Organizations in the Early 20th Century

  • The emergence of women's organizations is the bright spot of the feminist movement in the early 20th century. With different focuses, those organizations developed around bourgeois-democratic revolution and women's liberation, and they had a distinct reflection of the awakening of women's group consciousness. Compared with the organizations and groups in 1898, women's organizations had reached maturity and fell into a patten, revealing sophisticated characters of modern organizations.Those women's organizations had such disadvantages as scattered structure and a short period, however, their social significance can not be denied.
