Effects of Cooling Rate on Transformation Temperature of NiTiNb Shape Memory Alloy with Wide Hysteresis

  • The effects of cooling rate on the transformation temperature and the microstructure of NiTiNb alloy were investigated by using SEM and DSC.The result shows that with the increase of cooling rate the transformation temperature increases.SEM and energy spectrum analysis shows that the Ni/Ti ratio in the matrix decreases,which causes a higher transformation temperature of the alloy.
