Progressive Collapse Simulation of Multilayer Reinforced Concrete Frame Structure under Seismic Action

  • The progressive collapse of a typical Chinese 5-story reinforced concrete(RC) frame was analyzed. The frame in horizontal seismic damage evolution was simulated by the nonlinear dynamic finite element program LS-DYNA software under different working conditions. Results show that the column strain reduces along the long span from the outer to the inner direction,corner column destruction threat is largest,central column destruction threat least.
