Study of amorphous NiB alloy catalyst’s modification

Amorphous NiB and NiBSm alloys were prepared by chemical reduction method,NiB/Al₂O₃prepared by chemical reduction method combined with impregnation.Gas-phase hydrogenation of ethine was selected as probe reaction to study its hydrogenation activity and stability.The structure and composition of the catalysts were identified by XRD and ICP,stability and the resistance to deposition of carbon were analyzed by DSC and TG,TPR and TPD were used to characterize the surface properties.The results indicated that the activity and stability of the modified catalysts were enhanced because the electron-denoting effect of Sm or the interaction between the support and alloy results in the increasing of the numbers of absorbing sites.
