Research into Fe3+/SO42-/TiO2 photocatalytic oxidation phenol

Abstract
Fe3+/SO42-/TiO2 photocatalyst was prepared by sol-gel method with the ultraviolet light as light source.The various experimental conditions for photocatalytic oxidation of phenol were studied.The results were as follows: the optimum mass of catalyst was 2~3 g/L;when pH=6.7~9.0,the phenol removal efficiency was very high;the CODcr removal efficiency decreased with the increase of initial concentration;when the mass concentration of H2O2 was 90 mg/L,photocatalytic effect was optimum;the CODcr removal efficiency was best at the concentration of Cr6+=8 μg/mL,the reduction efficiency of Cr6+ was 90%;Hg2+ had no great influence on the CODcr removal efficiency;the reduction efficiency of Hg2+ was 99.5%.
