Abstract
Effects of low-voltage pulsed magnetic field on solidification structure of aluminum matrix composites were investigated by the adjustment of pulse voltage and discharge frequency.The results show that low-voltage pulsed magnetic field can convert equiaxed dendrite into equiaxed crystal in solidification of aluminum matrix composites ranging in 0-250 V of pulse voltage and 0-6Hz of discharge frequency.With the increase of pulse voltage and discharge frequency,equiaxed crystal is remarkably refined.
