A Modified Algorithm Based on Beamlet Transform for Extractionof Linear and Curvilinear Feature

A modified algorithm which utilizes the BD-RDP algorithm based on Beamlet transform is presented in this paper.It classifies Beamlets by the Beamlets' geometric properties(symmetry and parallel),defines a new quantity(dyadic square statistic) and establishes a new energy function.Experimental results demonstrate the reduction of the computation and the improvement of the speed.These results also demonstrate the effectiveness of the method in the complicated real images.
