Application of second-order turbulence model in nozzle two-phase flow
-
Abstract
A second-order moment model, which accounts for turbulence interactions of gas-particle,is firstly employed to numerically simulate transonic two-phase flow in JPL nozzle. The predicted results, which delineate the effects of particle diameter and loading ratio, are in agreement with the data from experiment and previous model. It is shown that the second-order moment model can predict the transonic two-phase flow well.
