Preparation and research on corrosion resistance of Zn-CeO₂ nanocomposite deposite

Zn/nano CeO₂ coating was prepared by electroplating.The effects of CeO₂ concentration in electrolyte,cathodic current density and temperature on the coating preparation are discussed.The optimized process parameters are obtained by orthogonal test.The effect of ceria nanoparticles on the electrodeposited zinc coating is studied by electrochemisty and NaCl immersion test,respectively.The results show that the Zn/CeO₂ nanocomposite coating has a flat morphology and compact microstructure,and its corrosion resistance is improved as compared with that of pure zinc coating.
