Preparation and research on corrosion resistance of Zn-CeO2 nanocomposite deposite

Abstract
Zn/nano CeO2 coating was prepared by electroplating.The effects of CeO2 concentration in electrolyte,cathodic current density and temperature on the coating preparation are discussed.The optimized process parameters are obtained by orthogonal test.The effect of ceria nanoparticles on the electrodeposited zinc coating is studied by electrochemisty and NaCl immersion test,respectively.The results show that the Zn/CeO2 nanocomposite coating has a flat morphology and compact microstructure,and its corrosion resistance is improved as compared with that of pure zinc coating.
